Rules of Conduct
We want all of our passengers to enjoy a safe and comfortable ride. Please be sure to observe the following rules when riding citylink:
Rule | Description |
---|---|
No smoking | Use of tobacco products, e-cigarettes, and vaporizers are not allowed on citylink buses, at bus stops, shelters, or at transit facilities. |
No drugs or alcohol | No drug use or alcohol consumption on citylink buses and facilities. |
No dangerous materials | Weapons, explosives, car batteries, flammable liquids, or other hazardous materials are not permitted on citylink vehicles. Personal oxygen is not considered a dangerous material. |
No eating or uncovered drinks | Drink containers with sealed lids are allowed, but please make sure to take the container with you. |
Pay your fair FARE | Deposit exact change into the farebox or present to the Bus Operator your valid multi-ride pass, monthly pass, valid ID, or promotional pass. |
Shirt and Shoes required | Just like in store and other business, customers without shirts or shoes will be refused service. |
Do not distract the Bus Operator | Interfering with the safe operation of a transit vehicle is hazardous to you and everyone else. If you must talk with the Bus Operator, please limit the conversation to when the bus is at a bus stop. |
Do not bother fellow passengers | Most passengers want to read, look out the window, think, or talk with friends. Leave them alone. |
Keep your technology to yourself | Be courteous when using technology. Use headphones if you are doing anything on your device that will make noise. Also, no one wants to hear your end of a cell phone conversation to keep it short and quiet. |
Be a good neighbor | Designated seats at the front of the bus are reserved for seniors and persons with disabilities. Please surrender your seat to those customers when they board or when the Bus Operator asks. |
One seat to a person | Your bag(s), laptop, or backpack belongs on your lap or under your seat, not on the seat next to you. |
Take your personal items with you when you exit the bus | If you have left something on the bus, please call 777-4563 ASAP. We will do our best to make sure your item is returned to you. If you find something on the bus, please do not touch it and let the Bus Operator know. |
Try to keep the aisles clear | So passengers can easily exit or board, please do not block aisles or doors. Remove children from strollers and collapse strollers. If you have personal belongings make sure they are not blocking the aisles, doors, or wheelchair |
Keep your pet in a carrier | Except for service animals, your pet must be in a carrier. |
Remember to stay behind the yellow line | The buses have great seating and standing room. For your safety, stay behind the yellow line. |
Support a safe, comfortable, and clean travel experience for all | No disruptive behavior; use G-rated language; clean-up after yourself; keep all body parts inside the bus; and, never throw objects in or outside the bus. |
KEEP YOUR BUS AND BUS FACILITIES NICE
