CORRECTION: ATRC is amending the 2017-2020 Transportation Improvement Program, not the 2016-19 TIP, which is consistent with MaineDOT's 2017-2020 State Transportation Improvement Program effective April 4,2017. There is no change to the project description or WIN.
The Androscoggin Transportation Resource Center (ATRC) is circulating for public review and comment a program amendment to Federal Fiscal Year 2017 of ATRC’s 2016-2019
2017-2020 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) for projects funded with Federal Transit Administration Section 5307 Urbanized Area funds. Pursuant to FTA Circular 9030.1C, Chapter IV, 7(d), the public involvement procedures associated with TIP development were used to satisfy the Program-of-Projects requirements of the Urbanized Area Formula Program under Section 5307.
ATRC is responsible for carrying out the transportation planning in the greater Lewiston-Auburn urbanized area. ATRC intends to amend the Transit element of the ATRC TIP for FY17 to reflect approved project funding levels and to create a new capital project. The projects included in the TIP amendment total $362,525 in FTA funds.
The FY2017 5307 allocation to the Lewiston-Auburn MPO area is projected to be $993,212 based on the 7/12 apportionment that has been approved through April 28, 2017. The allocation of these funds will support ATRC’s 2016-2017 UPWP, LATC’s FY2017 operating budget and funding for bus equipment and bus facility equipment.
